... not in this case. Docrafts Creativity! magazine is a gem of an idea, at an unbelievable price. I m sure, like many others starting in the hobby of cardmaking, I d looked at the range of magazines available in my local newsagent but been put off purchasing one. Docrafts Creativity! ... do crafts’ Creativity is a glossy craft magazine produced by the company ‘do crafts’ and sold by stockists of their products. For the most part it is aimed at the card-making and scrap-booking markets which are so popular at the moment, but this month they have also included some jewellery making as well. Inside you will find information about new products and suggestions on how they can be used for the best effect. Leisure Painter ... you have read my earlier review on Art you will know I have just discovered a new hobby (and talent!) for painting. Browsing in W H Smiths recently I came across a magazine called Leisure Painter. This is a monthly publication and costs 3.10 GBP from the newsagents. However, if you become a subscriber and pay by direct debit you receive up to 30% off. ADVERTS There are quite a lot of adverts in the magazine, but as these are art related they are useful and range from art materials to holidays for artists and painting courses. Practical Photography ... a photo hobbyist, it is my ultimate desire to have stunning photos that other people could see and admire. I always search for other people’s works either on-line or in prints to improve my craft, consequently to update my own photo gallery website. And someday to meet my goal - the launching of my first photography book and exhibit!
