Advantages: So much common sense help

Disadvantages: ads although there aren't too many

I've been dreaming of buying a horse since my teens and whilst I know I will get one in the near future, I have been dulling those lustful feelings by riding my friends horse and buying horse magazines. This not only feeds my overwhelming desire but it also helps me swot up on the theory of owning my own horse one day.

This magazine cost me £3.70 which is about average for this sort of thing.

It includes lots of different sections that appear regularly in the magazine and I like the way that these are clearly labelled as I am able to turn to a particular section very easily.

I really like the fact that this magazine not only educates the reader on how to look after your horse but there are also sections on common ailments that you will probably come across with you horse.

There are plenty of pages where questions are answered by professionals which are really helpful and something that I can always look back on.

One thing that I like about the magazine is how descriptive it is. I am really interested in Natural horsemanship which is what they are using on various case studies in the magazine. The detail in what they do with the horse is so clear that I can picture in my head exactly what they mean. If you can't then there are plenty of really clear pictures on each page to show you 'how to'.

The back is filled with lots of horse for sale which gets my lustful feelings uprising and there is also a website advertised throughout the magazine.

Obviously there are ad's throughout but these are kept to a minimum and there is certainly more helpful articles than there are ads in this one.

There are often freebies with this one but nothing that makes your heart skip. This addition I got a free wall planner which is filled with lots of different horsey events throughout the untied kingdom next year. I will probably use this but not as it is intended.

There are competition pages with some brilliant prizes to be had but I never really bother with that sort of thing.

All in all this is one of the better horse magazine which is full of useful stuff that is helpful to any rider.

Summary: A great magazine
