I found that out of all the magazines this one was relevant to all riders, not just those with horses. The competitions for exampl... H & P ... magazine is excellent for the younger rider. It is suitable for any child who doesn't have their own pony but for a pony owning child it has most value for the pre-teens. Each week there are features on pony care, feeding, grooming, problems that children might encounter with their riding. There is a photo-strip based on a riding centre with a story about children, ponies and their interaction. Quite often there are freebies on the cover for example a hoof pick or a mane comb, useful items which are always needed because they get lost so easily. ... Your Horse ... Horse Magazine is published once a month and is basically packed full of info about riding, caring for horses, land management, plus things like herbal remedies and horse whispering techniques. The magazine also has a "Letters" and a section where people as questions section which I find very interesting and useful (the extra good point ive found about the asking questions section is that it is all catagorized - eg. riding queries, veterinary, herbal remedies, legal queries, to name but a few.) In addition to this there is quite often a section on "Best Buys" which from month to month covers things like "best riding boots" "bes...
