Advantages: Excellent ideas

Disadvantages: It's a magazine?

The trouble with the web is that there is an awful lot of rubbish which you have to sift through to find the useful sites.

Internet Monthly magazine is excellent in that it tells you exactly which sites are worth visiting, and the ones to avoid. It is also good for beginners with advice on which ISP to use, technical hints and tips (even how to create your own site)as well as plenty of feedback and letters from readers.

The price of £2 is good value especially as you get a free CD with loads of software on it, and there are dozens of ideas for you to try out when surfing. I would advise anyone who goes on the web regularly to get it, as the website information alone justifies the price.

It's nice to have something to read while your waiting for the screens to be brought forward when the web is busy, and the price of this magazine is more than justified by the excellent content.

It would be a good buy for a total beginner, as it has some useful tips for choosing ISP's, setting up your e-mail account etc. More advanced users will find it useful as it explains how to register domain names amongst other things.
