Web User ... my opinion the Web user series of magazines really are fantatsic. The first thing that I love about them is there price. Considering that one issue costs just £1.99 I found that really reasonable as it is very cheap when comparerd with other similar magazines. What I love most about he magazine is that it is really easy to read. The content of the magazine I find is very well written and very enjoyable to read. I don t like how the reviews are quite bare. Whilst there is a good vareity between each website named I don t like how they arn t in any real depth. PC Zone ... Zone used to be a brilliant mag back in the mid to late 90s, merging wit, sometimes crude but always sharp comedic observation and a professional journalistic approach to create a monthly magazine owed as much to Viz as it did to serious journalism. It was a joy to read then, not least because of the contributions of the excellent and very funny Charlie Brooker, who now presents BBC programmes such as Screenwipe and Newswipe, but back then used to write hilarious but insightful reviews and also produce crude and surreal comic strips, one of which was so outlandish and over the top that it got the magazine pulled from the shelves of supermarkets one month. Computeractive ... ve been a subscriber to ComputerActive for a while now. I ve always bought it since I first had my computer and it has seen my from novice level to advanced. Even now, I do not find the magazine too basic. It is filled with different interesting sections: I love reading the News and the Letters, for example. And the reviews are trustworthy. The guides cater to diverse audiences of different levels and there is a focus on the readers, who input quite a bit into the magazine. It costs more than it used to, but they have been giving out useful software free with every issue and it is still cheaper than rival magazines.
