Advantages: Gives current information, gig guides and reviews

Disadvantages: Rather too few pages, the interviews could be more in-depth.

Kerrang! is the only magazine truly dedicated to all things heavy metal. I have total respect for any magazine that can accommodate interviews each week with the biggest names in the rock world (Marilyn Manson, Nine inch nails, Pacebo), and still manage to keep a humorous and interesting approach, with a very good news and gossip section, cheeky questions and comic strips. That's not to say Kerrang! doesn't take music seriously. In fact the interviews and live reviews show the extent of the writers' passion for rock music. This is a colourful and varied magazine (just look at those posters), covering a genre of music often neglected by the other mainstream magazines.
