Advantages: Fun to read

Disadvantages: Don't let your mum look at it!

I think that Kerrang is far more interesting than any of the other rock magazines that I read, and there are a number of reasons for this. Conttrary to popular belief, it isn't just a metal magazine and they include music articles to broaden your mind with punk, rock, indie and also other styles. Quite often they go around in the street and ask fan's opinions of things that have happened, and this is really interesting. They're a lot less safe than, for example, Rock Sound who always give the most famous bands the best reviews (Which I find a bit fake), they don't care about offending anyone, and when they have free CDs, they always rock!

Kerrang's good for rock kids, with a good mix of info, & I've gotta luv 'em 'cos they gave me a free ticket for the 2nd night of The Lost Weekend. However, if you want a good read & occasionally v. good CD's Metal Hammer's the one to go for.
