When making another small visit to WHSmith there is but only one magazine that I turn to first, Kerrang! If of course I've bought it then I might not turn to it but sometimes I do anyways to double check on certain things.
Kerrang! is a magazine containing all the greatest alternative music reviews and guides within. From Blink 182 to Korn the magazine deeply dives into the world of Rock and Roll and splashes its readers with a world of pleasure.
What you can expect to find in this luscious magazine is interviews with the best stars. From Marilyn Manson to The Hives if they're in rock to metal genre then Kerrang! will most likely interview them at some point.
On top of that you'll get all the hottest new albums reviewed and judged by Kerrang! This giving you the best incite into whether or not you should by that album you've been thinking about all those weeks.
Next you've got reviews of music videos as well as singles. So you'll know which singles to buy and which videos are the best. Accompanying this is a top 20 Kerrang! TV videos, Top 40 Albums and Top 20 singles chart.
Then there's the most recent music news from the rock to metal genre. This including bands splitting up, gig announcements, new album announcements and just any general news item.
Next the magazine will give you a gig guide. Listing all the gigs up and coming during the week. Accompanying this will be reviews of passed gigs that will of course give you an idea as to whether or not you should buy tickets to go to the next one or not. Then throughout the magazine you will see some very useful gig adverts from bands that announce up and coming gig venues.
Finally the magazine has a section to answer all the questions from those who sent letters in and just to show interesting letters in general. Then next to that is the most wonderful Pandora cartoon. Featuring a heavy metal chick that I certainly would like t
o chat up if I knew her in real life. Not only for her looks and charm but she also seems to get an introduction to the best artists around although they may just be drawings like her.
On the very last page you will be able to find what the next Kerrang! magazine will feature. What bands will be interviewed and what albums will be reviewed.
Other than this the magazine will offer you posters and music CD's every once in a while and you get all of this for a small price.
Kerrang! magazine is and always will be my guide to the world of metal and rock if you like this kind of music then you'll love this magazine. One thing you definitely won't find inside is Britney Spears or any other pop stars unless they are being slated.
If you do like this kind of music then I suggest you start buying Kerrang! because "Life Is Loud" as the magazine would say.
