I agree with another reviewer of this magazine. The first couple of issues had great quality embellishments and seemed good value for money. I hadn't bought it for a while but bought the latest issue and was rather disappointed. Some of the free card blanks were badly folded and one even had stains on. The embellishments were nothing like the quality I would expect for a (relatively) thin magazine costing £7.99. I probably won't be buying this magazine again unless the cost is lowered or the quality of the free gifts ... Read the complete review

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are so many card making magazines out there, how do you choose which one to buy. Well I make and sell handmade cards for a living so have gone through possibly all the titles you can buy then I came across Let\'s Make Cards. This magazine is £7.99 every issue and is the most expensive one on the shelf BUT it has to be the best buy. It comes out every 5-6 weeks, so if you popped the money in a jar each week this would work out around £1.60. To start with this mag comes in a cardboard covering as every issue you get plenty of freebies, well for the ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of crafts and making cards, however I don't claim to be an expert! I do this just for fun and in no way are my cards of a professional quality - for me it is simply a hobby and the delight I get from see friends and families faces when I present them with one of my newest cards! I only started making my own cards about a year ago after I decided I wanted a change from cross stitching. I decided in order to get started I needed some sort of starter pack so turned to W H Smith for help. I never realised there were so many options and varieties of craft magazines available, and as a newbie it cant be a bit overwhelming knowing which one to ... Read the complete review

Let’s Make Cards magazine is the newest craft magazine to hit the shops. It comes from the publishers of the top craft magazines Crafts Beautiful and Quick and Crafty. This magazine had been released for a couple of weeks before I decided to bite the bullet and buy. My reluctance stemmed from the magazine’s hefty price of a whopping £7.99, double the price of many of the other craft magazines on the shelves. However, after reading many positive reviews by fellow crafters praising the magazine and its ‘free’ gifts, I decided to give it a go. I was pleased with my purchase but feel that the ‘freebies’ aren’t actually free, but that the ... Read the complete review

The latest magazine is a big disappointment. The embellishments are almost identical to those included in the previous magazine and in the same colours. I won't be using them. They're not to my (or my recipients') taste. The first two issues included beautiful embellishments and I couldn't wait to use them. There was a wonderful variety and all excellent quality. Wow! If the magazine doesn't return to its original quality in the next issue, I won't be subscribing again. I'd rather take my £7.99 and buy some embellishments ... Read the complete review
