I am sitting here with a copy of Augusts Cosmopolitan on my knee right now. This months issue came with a a free novel, last months free gift was a pair of summery Flip-Flops. Cosmo knows how to intice its readers! Apart from the free gifts, Cosmo covers are bright and attractive,modern and eyecatching.

As is the content! Sex,Men,Relationships,Careers,Fashion,Beauty and Health are all featured in Cosmo. Health is discussed practically and sensibly, Cosmo know how easy it is to stray from strict diets- they dont expect you to be superwoman! Sex is talked about frankly and openly, it seems Cosmo want us to be enjoying sex, and intend to help us do this if we arent already!

Cosmopolitan also focuses on serious issues as well as the usual day to day beauty tips. This months issue has a feature on Date Rape.

In conclusion i think that Cosmopolitan aims to inform and entertain. It strikes a good balance and doesnt come across as either patronising nor aloof.

Hell! They must be doing something right- even my dad asks to read my old copies!
