Advantages: not like the Bliss of old, covers many subjects, no ultra thin models

Disadvantages: none

A while ago this would not have been the magazine I would like my teenage daughter to look at let alone purchase but it is a different matter now.

Bliss has changed and changed for the better. In fact it has changed so much that it has some articles that I would suggest to my daughter to read.

Bliss comes out monthly and costs £2.00. Like a lot of magazines it does have its pin up boys which they can cut out for the bedroom wall.

This month I notice that they are not showing ultra slim models and most articles the girls are around size 14 upwards. So good for Bliss.

There is a very good Saturday night party, Monday dead report. Saying it couldnt happen to you could it. A story like this in a teenage magazine will get through to the readers. Also on the same line is about Eminems song lyrics and how a brother telling how his sister took her own life because of the words to the song.

There are a lot of contents that you will find in every magazine on fashion and beauty and make up. Stories and pictures of the stars and all the latest gossip.

Every month a Bliss reader can have 15 minutes of fame by writing and enclosing their photograph and telling them the reason they want to be famous.

Katy Thornton does a good page on body worries and gives a lot of helplines for you to telephone if needed. Tina has her sex questions which seem to be the same as a lot of womans magazines.

This magazine a couple of years ago had a very bad reputation. It has certainly cleaned up its act since I last saw it.

To end on I must tell you that they have a very good list of 50 summer essentials all for under £30. They show the pictures and give a description and tell you the price but not on any of them do they tell you what size they start and finish at but a lot are from New Look and they do have petite sizes right up to the very large size to cater for everyone.
