Advantages: ?

Disadvantages: negative messages

I didn't really know where i put this so i guess this will have to do.

It concerns the magazine Bliss. A few issues ago as a free gift they were giving this skimpy little top, it was black and was tied at the back by a little string and just covered the front. On the front of the plastic bag it came in was pictures of famous role models wearing it. I decided to buy it to see how small it was. I can tell you it was very small.

Anyway these magazine are always going on about young girls being obsessed with their weight and how they don't need to diet. If this is what they really think and want to get this message out then why give kids this small top which would only fit the really skinny girls and make out to be cool u should wear it. If there is a kid who can't fit into it she will think she is fat when she probably isn't.

Magazine need to actually think about the free gifts they r giving out and make sure it doesn't give out a negative message.

Too many magazine show skinny models and put out the message that to be beautiful u have to look like them which is not true. The media are turning this country and no doubt other countries into a society where everything comes down to your size. Size is not everything and it is about time these magazine stopped putting pressure on young teenage girls to be skinny, there is nothing bad about having a little bit of weight on you. It is about time magazine decided whether they want a society of skinny racks who are obsessed with their weight or a society of healthy people who have a bit of weight.

If this society doesn't do something to help stop these young girl becoming obsessed with their weight, the future generations will have a lot of problems. If the magazines won't do anything then we will have to.

(I dunno if this actually sounds like an opinion but it is)

I'm sorry for the low rating. I think it's a fair point, too, and the double standards that these sort of magazines invariably show are horrid. It would have been nice to have some more information, though - maybe about free gifts in general - or the double standards of fashion magazine articles. Maybe the point you make here would have been better as a short opinion? If you ever do add any more to the op here, though, do let me know, and I'll happily come back and re-read and re-rate. Sorry for low rating, again, anyway.

It's a fair point. I remember seeing that and thinking how tacky it was.
