Advantages: Live DVD, strong articles and software how to's

Disadvantages: Some articles too complicated and in depth

Linux magazine is a fine publication for the Linux operating system. The magazine has free distributions on a live cover disc giving a Linux interested individual the chance to see what else is out there at the time without having to install. My knowledge and experience of Linux is limited but I still find this magazine a great way to find out some more about the operating system.

I will say that some of the articles are a little more involved and complicated than I'm capable of at this time but there is still a lot of use in this magazine for the new user. New distributions and software are investigated with tutorials on how to make more of each. I find the news sections very interesting as there seems to be more developments in Linux than anywhere in computing at this time. Although there may not be as many articles as other OS magazines I recommend Linux magazine, a lot like Linux itself.

Summary: Informative and helpful with free live DVD Linux distributions
