Advantages: the best most thought provoking articles around, excellent interviews with "ordinary" people

Disadvantages: too much fashion

If somebody produced a magazine like Marie Claire but without the hundred or so fashion pages it would be the top seller. Why do all the magazine editors/publishers think women want to look at hundreds of pages of designer labels? Most of my friends dive onto my copy of Marie Claire when I buy it but nobody is interested in the fashion. Take that away and you have some really thought provoking articles on a range of world topics that are far superior to anything you can find elsewhere, mixed with some excellent light hearted sections. They end each issue with a biography of someone you may or may not have heard of, but guaranteed to be interesting reading.
