Advantages: lots of fun information about football for young people
Disadvantages: none
Match is a highly entertaining magazine aimed at football mad kids and teenagers. It is packed full of iteresting interviews, cartoons, fun facts and quizzes. It also includes some great compeitions.
The front cover attracts the right target audience for the magazine. It has bright colours and lots of pictures of footballers. It has an insight to the articles which lay inside waiting for you to read them. On the first few pages it includes compeitions, funny facts and funny things that have happened in the mad world of football.
Inside this great magazine it has lots of things about clubs such as how well they're doing at a certain stage through the season. It also includes lots of posters and interviews from players. It often rates certain football products such as boots or goalkeeping gloves. There is also a letter page where it's readers can send in letters or drawings. They can also ask for some football tips from a character called Dr Footy. Towards the end there is a stats section which moniters the english and foreign leagues.
I would definitly recommend this magazine. It has loads of fun and sometimes great free gifts. I fully enjoyed this magazine when I first got it a couple of years ago and have carried on enjoying it ever since. Match costs £1.60 but it is truly good value for money.
Summary: This magazine is the ultimate football magazine.

calypte - 19/04/06 It's true, magazine reviews are extremely difficult to do well! You shouldn't (and haven't!) fall into the trap of describing minutely what's in this month's issue, but you do need to get across WHY you like it, not just 'it's good and I do like it' kind of thing. If you have any questions, do feel free to get in touch (I'm the books/magazines category guide) and I'll try and help :) |
