Advantages: Informative, Funny, Well Laidout
Disadvantages: Too Many Ads
Men's Health magazine, published once a month is aimed at men of all ages and provide them with tips on dieting, exercise, personal grooming, adventure and lots lot more. Its usually quite informative with a lot of useful facts and statistics.
The Personal Trainer section is my personal favourite. In here you can find training tips, workout schedules and even diet plans to help you get big and trim. The workouts are usually well structured and the science behind it is usually explained.
Alphamale, another section in the magazine is based on woman. In here you'll find tips for talking to woman, being more confident around them and sex tips. However I must admit the majority of this is junk and I normally skip through it.
The fashion side of the book is alright I suppose, its a good red however I would never consider buying anything featured in the mag as its just too expensive. With price tags of over £1000, I don't think MH gets that we're in the middle of a recession.
If I had one quibble with Men's Health it would be the amount of advertisements throughout it. Now I understand they have to make their money but I thought that's what the £3.90 price tag was for? At first look the magazine looks thick and full of content, but around half the pages are adverts which is a bit disappointing.
Overall its a good mag, and I will continue to purchase it, however a reduction in the amount of ads would go a long way.

- 25/05/09 Yea I do have to agree with that. You do have to sift through the junk to find the good stuff. But what lies underneath is generally good information. |

- 25/05/09 I find it a little ' unrealistic', shall we say? The whole 'get a six pack in six weeks' is just too much, especially when they use a model who clearly worked out for a lot longer than six weeks to get a body like that! |
