Advantages: Easy Reading, Competent Advice
Disadvantages: Fashion Section, Cover
As an avid reader and monthly subscriber to Men’s Health magazine, I feel compelled to express my opinion of the magazine. After having read many men’s fitness, health and lifestyle magazines, I can honestly say that this is the best publication I have yet to come across. There are very few magazines which will hold my attention from cover to cover, but this one certainly does. I think that the key to benefiting from a magazine like this is to use it purely for ideas and inspiration. Take on board the comments written between the covers and try and incorporate these the ideas and exercise methodology into your daily life. As other members have commented, the cover model does make the magazine a bit off putting to buy, but I guess I just think of it as inspiration. One of the regular monthly features is an Ask Men’s Health section. The questions that are asked by readers are surprisingly helpful. You will find that many of the questions which you would like to ask, but think are too trivial, will crop up from time to time, and the responses can be really quite informative and interesting. On a similar not there is a section called Tell Men’s Health, only in this section the readers write in with exercise / diet suggestions which they use in their normal life. Some of these are very useful and show just how easy it is to incorporate healthy living into your everyday living. Furthermore you have all the usual, sex advice, sa bit of fashion (if you want to call it that, probably the poorest part in the magazine!!), sports tips, travel etc… Overall and excellent read and very beneficial to anyone who wants help and advice but is too unsure or does not have the time to ask someone.

sohail31 - 09/05/02 A concise and VU op! Well done and welcome to Dooyoo! I subscribe to the on-line newsletter and I find the website quite informative too. Its just the special articles that you miss out on but I generally use it for the training tips. |
