Metal Hammer is a monthly magazine priced at £3.99 and covers a wide range of bands in the metal genre. Some popular bands frequently covered include: Slipknot Korn Children of Bodom Machine Head Iron Maiden Metallica Plus many many more.... You can get this on subscription and usually save yourself around 35% compared to buying it every month in the shops. You can also get free gifts when you subscribe on MH website or send off by post through the mag itself. On my last subscription i got 4 or 5 Nightwish CD's. ~ About Metal Hammer ~ Every month you get at least a free CD with the magazine and ... Read the complete review

I bought my first copy of Metal Hammer several years ago now, I had become rather disillusioned with Kerrang as it covered very little of the sort of music I actually liked and at the time magazines like Terrorizer were still a fair bit more extreme than my taste in metal. Wandering in to Virgin one day (as it still was at the time), Metal Hammer immediately caught my eye, as on the cover were the singers of two of my favourite bands at the time and well, I just had to give it a read. Opening it up, I found a whole array of articles, on numerous bands I had an interest in. There was far more content in it than it's weekly rival, which was to be expected, but ... Metal Hammer is a magazine about Rock/Metal music. The first issue was for sale in 1986. I would say that it is aimed at older teenagers and adults because of the language used in it. It is available monthly and costs £3.99. Some months they add an extra item with the magazine and charge an extra pound or you can buy it at the normal price without the item. Examples of the extras they add are a festival survival kit or a metal sleeve. Each magazine comes with a free CD and sometimes stickers/sticker book or a badge. There are around 130 pages inside the magazine including band features, live music reviews, album reviews, readers letters, ... Read the complete review

"Metal Hammer" is the monthly source of reference for fans of a wide range of music, ranging from punk and old rock to death metal and black metal. Although it is obviously less up to date than the weekly "Kerrang!" magazine, its interviews and features are always more detailed and better presented, giving it the overall look of being more sophisticated and cared about than the seemingly budget Kerrang! It always has a free gift every month as well, which makes the magazine well worth the price of £3.10, as well as its glossy cover and (around) 114 pages. The gift is usually a CD containing great tunes from most of the bands discussed and ... Read the complete review

For those about to rock, you might like to check this out before you check out what you'd like to rock to! Basically, like it's name-sake; Metal Hammer is a magazine about the latest metal news, reviews, gigs, gossip, interviews, freebies (like cover CD's) and anything you'd care to think of. And it's not just about metal, it encompasses all forms of hard and somewhat hard rock, but Hard Rock Hammer doesn't sound that good does it? Metal Hammer is a glossy monthly magazine, and even has it's own website at metallhammer.co.uk, so you're never too far from the important latest features online, but unlike it's non-webbed rival, ...
