Metro Newspaper is one of the best things you can get for free, you can pick up one of these newspapers on buses or trains. These newspapers are available Monday through to Friday and in a morning on the bus to work you will see at least one person with their head in this paper. When it is busy on the bus I find it hard to read when I have only a little room for manoeuvre so I prefer to save mine for when I have my lunch at work.

Metro has the usual items that an average paper has such as news articles, puzzle page and also a handy TV guide. I like the TV page for the section about the days TV highlights and I also like the bit about what Keith Watson saw last night although this may be a little useless if you find you would have enjoyed the programme described and have obviously missed it.
Advertisements are throughout the paper but not too many that make the paper seem empty. The puzzle page has Sudoku, a quiz and a Clockword Puzzle, horoscopes are also given on this page.

For anyone interested in the theatre etc there is an arts and Entertainment page which is very useful and shows various plays and gigs in the area. On a Friday there is a section reviewing the new cinema releases which can be very handy if you are planning a trip to the cinema over the weekend.

I would say that on the whole Metro is nearly as good as the average paper and in some cases it is better than some. Some days I could buy a paper and read it within a couple of minutes because it contains hardly anything.

This paper helps pass my lunch hour whilst eating my sandwich and I tend to get annoyed if there are no more Metro's left on the bus. Thinking what do I read now? Metro helps me keep up to date with what's happening in the world and it's free!

Summary: If you are bored on public transport why not pass the time with Metro
