To give away a quality tabloid free every day would surely be a financial disaster - why else would we still pay for the rival tabloids, the publishers of the Metro have proved this to be untrue. The paper is no more full of adverts than any of its competitors and the quality of journalism is on a par with say the Mail or Express.
The paper has everything you would want to pass a journey, news, good sports coverage, lifestyle articles and good competitions with generous prizes.
If the Metro can be distributed free I wonder why we still pay for its rivals.
