Advantages: Great read
Disadvantages: None
I read Mother and Baby quite often when I was pregnant and now I have my baby, I still enjoy to read it.
There are lots of baby magazines on the market but for me, this one stands out as being the most informative and interesting to read.
There are often free gifts on the front cover. However, I find them to be of limited use. Some are great, some get sent straight to the charity shop. I guess it depends on the age of your child and what you already have. I buy the magazine anyway so getting something you need on the front is just a bonus.
MY FAVOURITE CONTENTS:
Letters - useful to hear about the tips and hints and opinions of other mums.
Product testing - different baby products are tested by mums and results are reported back. This is a great feature to get opinions on products before you go out and buy them. It has saved me money!
Articles based on real experiences of real women. They focus on both pregnancy and birth stories and the early months of a baby's life. The thing I find really useful is that they use lots of different types of mums so there is always someone that you can identify with.
Reader's questions - experts give advice on problems. This is really useful for common problems we all encounter.
The magazine is £2.35 for each copy. It is printed monthly. It is inline with other pregnancy and parenting magazines that come out on a monthly basis. However, I find there is far more information packed into Mother and Baby and so you get more for your money
Overall a really great read!
