Advantages: Easy lay out, simple language, puts your mind at rest,

during my pregnancy, I didn't know any mums or mums to be. I found Mother and Baby magazine a lifesaver.

The magazine is easily laid out, with sections laid out in chronological order, from pregnancy to toddler age. Each section is full of up-to-date news, reviews and articles covering sections you need to know. There is a regular feature covering an expectant mother, reminiscent of "Emma's diary", as well as a letters page, which gives away gifts (usually a maclaren pushchair) to the author of the "star letter". The competitions are very generous too, with the February 2009 featuring prizes such as a lullaby player, a Zia pushchair, a trike, car seat, a vacuum cleaner, and a toy chest worth £500!

The magazine regularly features tried and tested reviews on the essential buys for new mums. It also covers baby milestones, the latest health advice, and features on what to expect during labour. I also found the magazine a great source of advice with regards to maternity rights and employment.

I've found the magazine a lifesaver and definintely worth £2.60 each month. I recently subscribed to the magazine for £22, and recieved a free in the night garden toy set, just in time for an additional christmas present for my son.

If you're expecting or a parent looking for advice, Mother and Baby is worth a look.

Summary: Well worth the pricew, which is regularly discounted.
