Advantages: Excellent reviews, Good race reports on downhill etc.

Disadvantages: Limited sections on downhill and dirt jumping, Pointless pages of rubbish like 'Barbie'

MBUK is the an excellent magazine but is really only good for those thinking of buying a new bike, frame or component. The reviews and group tests are second to none and have helped me decide what components to upgrade and which manufacture to choose on many occaisions. They test everything and give a mark out of five.
However for those who already have a bike that they are happy with the rest of the magazine is not as good. There are sections on dirt jumping, cross country, downhill and freeride. These sections are generally good but really could be longer and much better. They have introduced new section to teach you new tricks and techniqques and this is also good. However I would like to see the dirt jumping and downhill sections lengthened as these are the most popular.
They also seem to have got into making rubbish little cartoons and things including 'Barbie' tht make no sense and are completely pointless and just take up vital dirt jumping space.
The magazine has hundreds of advertisement too for those considering buying a new bike, but otherwise this fills up more space, of course the mag. needs to make more money some how but they could limit these pages.

This is all true but I would also like to add that cross country takes a lot of space when there are fewer cross country riders than downhill or duel riders.
