At £5 a month, MP3 magazine is quite an expensive mag and rather a specialized one at that. Although it sounds as though it must JUST be about MP3s, the mag. also has a tonne of information on new music releases, very random websites, and music websites in general. Layout is nice and glossy, which is always a good thing. There's a subscription offer on at the moment with 3 issues for £9.99 and this is refundable if you don't like them, making it reasonable for the amount of information it packs in. There are fetures on downloadable MP3 players, portable MP3 player, CD writers, headphones...and also a summary of what's been reviewed so far. If you're into music on the net or on your computer this is definitely for you. This moth also had a really good article on 'Music on the internet Vs. the record industry' which was informative and unbiased. Similarly an article on getting music on your computer (right from buying a computer to downloading players etc) was really good and simply laid out - I'm not at all conversant with technical language, but I understood all of it. There's also a free CD each month with players and music links on it to save you downloading them.
