Muzik magazine is a monthly clubbing magazine covering most aspects of dance music. I have never actually purchased the mag myself, but often flick through it in the newsagent to check that I'm not missing out. My housemate used to buy it, as has my brother on occasion, but this has generally been for the free CD on the cover and not the content. The magazine costs £3.65, about average for a monthly music magazine and it has been running for some time as it's currently up to issue 76. Muzik magazine used to be one of the few dance music publications that didn't care about what its competitors either thought of them or were doing at the same time, making it essential reading for those wanting well reasoned argument with knowledgable personality interactions and a shoot from the hip 'call a spade a spade' mentality within its reviews section. Muzik was always playing catchup with Mixmag when it was first launched with all clubbers recognising the big M as the essential guide to clubbing. However Muzik has gained a segment of readers who appreciate the technicalities of DJing with a comphrehensive singles guide, highlighting up & coming labels, The EQ section that reviews DJ equipment and it's support for bedroom DJs, welcoming mix tapes for a passport to DJ stardom which has catapulted those into the superclub dreamworld.
