Despite a surely promising title, the Sunday paper " News of the World" will not bring you too many news from or of the world.

If you are into sport, and in particular football and cricket and generally any other sport which has a large following in UK, then the 45 page pull out may appeal to you. In my case I could not care less.

The paper costs 85 p and I do not buy it myself, although I admit going through it on the couch or in the toilet, simply because one of our flat mates is an aficionado.

Sport sells, and then you have the free TV magazine, which also sells.

You also have some sotires exposing the sex antics of a celebrity or a supposed celebrity, whatever is on offer during the week.

A bit of a combination of all the most basic elements which make the British papers so unique in Europe, with may be the exception fo Germany.

Summary: Not for me

I agree. News of the World is just another 'news' paper that contains more opinion than news and is more concerned with creating news than objectively reporting it. Journalism for the lowest common denominator.
