Advantages: Good coffee literature
Disadvantages: No real news
I like to chill out and have a bit of a wind down on a sunday so I usually buy a copy of the News of the World to read over my morning Coffee.
The paper is essentially 3 parts - the sports pull out, the main part of the papaer and the glossy 'fabulous' magazine. This does make it easy to spread around the house - my son likes to catch up on all the football news from the previous day and see if any 'Dons players made it into the Team of the Day, my daughter likes to look through the magazine part to see what styles are 'in' this week and who has been photographed wearing stupid clothes - intentionally or otherwise, and my husband and I (I feel quite regal for a moment) divide the rest of the paper between us.
Don't expect to be fully conversant with the political world once you have read the paper - or even to know what's going on in the world - but you will know which celebrity is having an affair with who, what the latest Eastenders story line is likely to be and who got thrown out of a nightclub drunk the week before.
I think the majority of the paper is written ages in advance and then tiny little bits of up to date information are scattered about to make you think its a newspaper.
Don't buy this if you want some real news but do buy it if you want something to amuse you over your coffee - the problem page is usually good for a laugh!!
Summary: What a sunday paper needs to be
