Advantages: It has loads of information in it, it's published every week.

Disadvantages: There aren't any.

The North Devon Journal is a weekly paper that comes out every Thursday for 80p. It also has a website called www.thisisnorthdevon.co.uk. It is a local newspaper and gives all local information on places like Barnstaple, Braunton, Ilfracombe, Bideford and Combe Martin. The overall newspaper is broken down into different sections:

The Local news section covers everything that has happened in the week, future events in the area, council plans and public notices (weddings, funerals and births).

The Property sections ranges from residential to commercial and buy to rent, from all the local estate agents. It has pictures of most properties and let's you no of any new builds or houses that are up for auction. Then at the back of this section there is a small bit about renting. On the Journals website this feature is provided by www.findaproperty.com

The classified section has local traders advertising for there services. It also has classified sales from the public i.e. people selling furniture, baby clothes etc. This section also has motor classified ads, which display new and used vehicles for sale in the area by trade or private.

The job section displays all local jobs available for permanents and part time work in the area. The information that is given to you is job type, salary and amount of hours available. However it also has a small column with the get rich fast scheme, which half the times don't work.

At the pack of the newspaper is the sports section which tells you about the local sports news and sports achievements for the local teams. It also has fixture lists, results and local league tables.

In my opinion this is one of the best local newspapers and I am comparing this to when l lived Dover and Wales. None of them were as informative as this local paper.

Summary: Overall I think it is a great local newspaper.
