The cryptic crossword can be a stinker and a great challenge plus a great sense of acheivement when completed (rarely) On Thursday we get a 7 day tv suppliment which includes 'Whats on' for local theatres clubs and groups for every part of the reigion. I have been reading the Northern Echo for the last 35 yrs it was originally a broadsheet so apart from letting everyone know what was going on in the North East I bet there wasn't many carpets that didn't have 'The Echo' as undelay right up to the '90s' when it was made smaller. The front page is for the important local story, the internaional news on the following pages. Hearallsides -or HAS- is the letters page where you can have your say on local and political viewpoints Dad at large we follow the trials and tribulations of the editors family which is easily related to I can tell you Chris Lloyd's Echomemories is a real trip down memory lane ...
