Ohmagod! How could a magazine deteriorate so much in such a short space of time? I never read the original Nova (being about -15 years old then), but from what I heard of it and the calibre of its groundbreaking articles and editorial, I am deeply embarrassed for whoever thought it would be a clever idea to bring it back. Nova is a ... Read the complete review

Can the trendiest magazine of the sixties really translate itself to the noughties? I recently bought a 30 year-old copy of Nova (from a fantastic retro shop in Greenwich called Flying Duck if you're interested) - all I can say is that women must have been much more easily pleased then. The only thing that struck me was the main fashion ... Read the complete review

Juergen Teller and Tracey Emin are just some of the contributers that make Nova a successful magazine. The styling and photography is very inspirational and the fact that it doesn't once go on about weight or excercise is a dream come true for women that want to read something that isn't all about personal appearences. Nova has very ... Read the complete review

..not that Marie Claire is that good, but Nova is from the same stable, and it does include very Marie-claire-esque articles. I bought the first edition, and the shock tactics were the first things that struck me. The "pubic ... Read the complete review

I have bought this magazine twice (both times because of the free t-shirt). I don't really know what to make of this magazine, mainly because I don't really know what type of magazine Nova is trying to be. It is kept on the shelf with the fashion magazines, but I can't imagine anyone buying this to get fashion ideas. The two copies I ... Read the complete review

I first picked up this mag a few weeks ago, purely because I was tempted by the free vest on the front. I started reading with anticipation of it being a little gem but ended up throwing it on the floor in frustration. Although some of the articles are fairly entertaining and informative, I found that a lot of it's content was trying to be too ... Read the complete review

I remember Nova from the first time round - ok, I remember it fairly vaguely, but you know what they say about the 60's - if you remember it, you weren't really there. Well, anyway, I was there and I do remember this exciting, ground-breaking magazine that actually published articles on the leading edge of public opinion - like ... Read the complete review

Nova magazine was first introduced to an unsuspecting public in the sixties. Until then, women’s magazines had assumed all their readers wanted was a nice recipe, a nice knitting pattern, a nice romantic story (involving secretaries untying their hair to become suddenly visible to the boss: “Why, Miss Jones, you’re ...
