Official PlayStation 2 Magazine is the best and only official magazine for the PlayStation 2. It is made by the same people who made Official UK PlayStation Magazine and is the only magazine for the PlayStation 2 which comes with a demo disc which has many playable demos and videos, just like the Official UK PlayStation Magazine.

The first issue of this magazine was just released in early Novemeber and the second is going to be out on 4 December. This magazine is similar to the Official UK PlayStation Magazine, except, of course, it is for the PlayStation 2.

The first issue had loads of reviews, including Tekken Tag Tournament, Timesplitters, Ridge Racer V, SSX, Smuggler's Run, Ready 2 Rumble: Round 2, ISS, Silent Scope, ESPN Winter X-Games Snowboarding, Orphen, Gradius III & IV, Madden NFL 2001, Fantavision, ESPN International Track and Field, Wild Wild Racing, Aqua Aqua: Wetrix 2.0 and Midnight Club.

Each game either has a review and is rated out of 10. The graphics, sound, gameplay and life span go into account when they rate the game. There are a few pictures or screenshots of the game in each review. The better the game, the more pages they give it to review.

There is also a section in issue 1 which tells you everything you need to know about the PlayStation 2. It tells you about all the peripherals for the PS2. It also gives all the specifications of the PS2, and fatcs about it, like that fact that it can play PlayStation One games and they will come out with better graphics.

There are also a few PSOne game reviews and the latest news on the PS2 and it's games. One of the best things about this magazine is that they have all the latest news and sreenshots of he newest games whilst other mags don't.

The demo disc with the magazine had it's own section in the mag telling the reader about the games featured in the demos. In the first issue, there was playable demos of ISS (International Supe
rstar Soccer) and Wild Wild Racing. Demos are simply parts taken out of the full version of the game. For example, if a game had 50 levels, on a demo, you can play one of the levels. They are used to promote the game. On the disc, there was also videos of Readu 2 Rumble: Round 2, Dead Or Alive 2, Tekken Tag Tournament, Electronic Arts Medley (All the EA games) Moto GP and Grand Turismo 3.

Next month's demo disc will have playable demos of Silent Scope, Rayman Revelution, Ready 2 Rumble: Round 2 and Dynasty Warriors 2.

There is also a letter section where people can write in about anything they like about the PS2 or it's games. The writers of the best letters get free games and a free Official PlayStation 2 T-Shirt.

This magazone costs £4.99 and although this may sound a little bit pricey, it is worth it as the magazine will keep you reading and even playing for ages.
