Advantages: Glossy photos, the best of the celeb gossip magazines, good pictures

Disadvantages: Expensive to buy weekly, not very much reading

If you asked my colleagues in the staffroom what their favourite magazine was to read at lunchtime was then OK! would be number one. Very few of us actually ever buy the magazine but if we come in at lunchtime and there is one on the table then we rush to grab it and there is always someone asking "Can I read that after you?" It's a great magazine to read in a staffroom because we are always saying things like "Oh my goodness, look at her outfit" or "Look at the house so and so lives in".

Ok! is a magazine that I have bought occasionally, I much prefer it to the likes of Heat or Now which I find can be a bit tacky. I like Ok! for its glossy photo shoots and its great for holidays or train journeys. I found myself reading the latest OK! magazine after a friend bought it for me after I came out of hospital recently.

The magazine is weekly and retails for £1.95, however recently they have been doing a special deal where you can buy the magazine for £2.60 and along with the OK! magazine get several other celeb magazines including Star and New!

On the front cover we have the usual suspects with Katie Price and Peter Andre, is there ever an edition of a celebrity magazine where they don't make an appearance? There are also pictures of Stacy from X-Factor, two people from Big Brother who have apparently got married (not having watched Big Brother I have no idea who they are) and Coleen Rooney.

I always marvel at the fact that magazines like OK! use headlines to make stories that don't exist. For example under the Coleen Rooney picture is the headline "Coleen Rooney Baby News" which you might quite rightly think means that Coleen Rooney has had her baby, however when this edition of the magazine came out which is November 3rd Coleen Rooney hadn't had her baby and the photo is of her holding someone elses baby.

Inside the magazine are lots of glossy photos, articles and interviews. Katie Price does manage to take up 10 of the pages in a Halloween photo shoot with her children. There is also an interview with Alexandra Burke and with Stacy Solomon. There are also interviews with some soap stars (however not being a soap watcher these didn't really interest me). There is an amusing photo shoot and interview with some of the stars from Strictly Come Dancing with the photos showing a mock "Murder on the dancefloor" story.

The magazine as well as having celebrity news also has sections on Style, Fashion, Health, Beauty, Travel and Food. There is also a problems page where Jordan supposedly answers all your problems. Quite why you would want Katie Price to answer your problems I really don't know, I think she has quite enough of her own without advising other people but that's just my opinion!!

I like OK! magazine it's a nice magazine to have a read of now and again and catch up on celeb news. There is also more reading than any many of the other celebrity magazines with better interviews and also looking at other subjects such as beauty and health. Personally I think its quite expensive for a weekly magazine, at £1.95 or £2.60 it is quite close to many monthly magazines which have much more content so its not a magazine I would choose to buy every week. However it is a nice treat to read it now and again. It not for everyone but if you are interested in celebrities and like to look at photos of them in their houses or to see what they have been wearing recently then OK! is the best of the celebrity magazines and well worth a read. My copy now I am finished will be heading into the work staffroom and will no doubt be well flicked through by many people

Summary: A glossy weekly celebrity gossip magazine
