Advantages: Great feature cars, good in-depth info and spec details, lots of nice pictures, half-naked women, not alot of irrelevant ads

This magazine has got to be THE best car magazine in the UK. It's packed full of high-performance machines with detailed pictures and specification listings. It's also got quite a lot of humour throughout (well come on, even their slogan is "the definitive guide to arsing about in cars") which in my opinion is a good thing in a magazine as it keeps you reading. In addition to this there are also many fine women gracing the pages which is sure to keep any man interested in reading (or looking at) it.

There are a few featured cars each month, with the most impressive being on the front cover and having the main story in the mag. There are always plenty of pictures of the outside and inside of the cars, and there are usually interesting interviews with the owner's of the cars.

The mag also contains a few other editorials each month - for example, the March 2001 issue contains an article on drugs and driving which contains alot of good information on driving under the influence of drugs and the effects of doing so - they even had people driving on a test track after taking 4 different drugs (ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana, and alcohol) to SEE the effects each drug had on them whilst driving. This was done by performing tests of their driving skills before and after the drug taking.

The number of advertisments published in Max Power is around average for this type of magazine, as there are a good few of the usual parts, spares, and in car entertainment ads scattered throughout for any people looking to modify their cars. However, this isn't too bad and is quite normal for a car magazine as alot of people buy these magazines just for the ads, ie/ looking for a cheap cd player etc. Aside from these ads, there isn't really much in the way of other advertisments in the mag, which is a good feature.

Overall, I think Max Power is a great car magazine and should be bought monthly by any car or in-car entertainment e
nthusiast.
