Advantages: price, quality of cover discs Disadvantages: makes you feel a little patonised sometimes
PC Advisor is a monthly mag which costs a very reasonable £2.99, the cover CD as a rule is of a good quality title and 99% of the time its the full product. The magazine its self is writen in plain English and any uncommon terms are given a full run down on what it means, so its not often you are left in the dark. The reviews are full and of a good quality BUT and its a big but in my opinion PC's with a 750Mhz CPU are classed as "Superbudget" and ones with a slightly higher clock speed "Budget" this can be really frustrating as myself and many other PC user's would love What they call "Superbudget" other little things also make you seath when they say "an average 20GB HD" and "an adequate 128MB of RAM". Smacks of only the best will do to me. If you can put up with these things the mag's help sections are usually very good and its always full of tips and tricks and is always a good read. Summary: |
