Advantages: Well balanced, good coverage.

Disadvantages: DVD issues expensive.

PC Format has been my personal PC magazine of choice for several years. why? because it strikes the right balance (for me, at least) between games, hardware, utilities, and creativity.
The topics covered in the average PC Format issue are diverse, but are usually in-depth enough for the average PC user.
The new DVD issues are expensive at £5.99 a time, and the extra software found on the DVD issue usually does not warrant an extra pound.
However, over time I have seen PC Format evolve to keep up with the modern PC user, and it has succeeded to keep my attention. Only a few issues have dissapointed me, and compared to other PC magazines, it's a veritable feast of information.
The reviews are well written, objective, and almost always spot on.
