By its own admission, PC Gamer is Britain’s best selling PC games magaine and its easy to see why. At 4.99 it may seem a little expensive, but there are always 1 or 2 Cds on the front cover which are packed with the latest game demos as well as being plenty of reviews and useful information inside which makes it worthy of the price when compared to some of its less worthy competition. The magazine is split up into 6 main sections, those of First Look! (news of games which are in the very early stages of production), Previews (a look at some games which are soon to be released but have only had the beta version tested), Reviews (reviews of games which have already ... Any gaming enthusiasts amongst us will know that besides the; Console, A game, and multiple cups of coffee the perfect gaming magazine is also vital to those late night game sessions. That's where PC Gamer comes in. Established in Britain in 1993 the magazine has been dedicated to keeping it's 'devotees' happy with a jam packed magazine full of previews, reviews and humerous comments from the staff team. During this review I'm going to be looking at the various aspects of the magazine and I hope to give you an insight into what to expect. Price: PcGamer is one of your more 'expensive' magazines on the market coming in at just ... Read the complete review

Whilst I do play quite a lot of games, I wouldn't really describe myself as a hard core gamer and ordinarily wouldn't read any gaming magazines, preferring instead just to look on websites if I want to read a review on a game. My boyfriend, on the other hand is an avid reader of PC Gamer and I recently treated him to a years subscription of the monthly magazine which at a cost of £52 works out at about £4 an issue, I believe you are saving almost £2 off every copy. My boyfriend also received his copy 2 days before they were in the shops, so he was very pleased with this! You get a free disc with every issue and this is usually packed with free demos ... PC Gamer USA This review is written on the grounds that this magazine seems to be appearing on many newsagents and supermarket`s magazine racks. This is the American version of the best-selling magazine PC Gamer. It is not dissimilar to the UK version you may be more familiar with in any large way, but there are a few subtle differences; It has quite a few more pages but the magazine itself has a smaller page area so the total content is roughly therfore the same given the greater number of pages. There are as with the UK edition usually two compact disks but they come in the rather flimsier packaging of cardboard wallets as opposed to the ... Read the complete review
