This magazine comes from the same people who produce PC PRO, Future publishing, and frankly I don't rate it at all, and only tried it because they offered me some free copies.
The magazine tries to fit into the market segment which is aimed at those who don't want a PC magazine, but want to know about PC related things, add this to a bit of laddish humour and you have PC Gear. In theory this sounds good doesn't it. I thought so, but in reality it wasn't to hot, with the edition I read have a splattering of game reviews, a small hardware info bit on how to fit a new graphics card, whilst wearing a glove puppet, and a bit about websites which feature 'chicks with guns' (It wasn't even that good)
The cover disks were also a bit poor, containing stuff that you would already have if you read almost any other decent PC magazine.

I think that if you want a PC magazine go and get one & if you want a lads magazine, get FHM or Maxim, as I am afraid that in my opinion this combination doesn't work.
