Advantages: Full Software on Cover Discs

Disadvantages: Price - £4.99 for CD or £5.99 for DVD

Every month PC Plus comes out with two CDs full of programs on them. The current one has Full versions of Borland C++ Builder v4, Oxford Interactive encyclopedia and Hot Metal Pro 4 plus a few other programs. If you are looking to build up your software collection then I would suggest you buy PC Plus every month as there is usually some usefull software on the cover discs. As for the content of the Magazine - If you want to learn a programming language then they run a monthly programming section in various languages (C, Java, Visual Basic etc). Their reviews of Items I personally feel are usaully spot on so I do tend to take a note of what they say about products. The News section is given good coverage and contains most of the upto date news (well as up to date as it can be in a magazine). One of the nice features is that they quite often compare products - This month they compared CD-Writers. This can be very usefull if you want to buy a product but don't know which model/manufacturer to buy. Overall its well worth the £4.99
