Advantages: Excellent rating system

Disadvantages: Sometimes too much about forthcoming games (rather than about what's actually on the market)

PC Zone is a good read from cover to cover. It's the only games magazine I buy regularly, in fact I'm a subscriber (you get great discounts).

They're the only magazine I've read with a decent rating system. Only truly great games get more than 80%

When games are reviewed all the factors are considered, but one thing that is emphasised is that the games should be fun. Unlike many inferior magazines PC Zone doesn't fixate on graphics. If the graphic quality is bad, they point it out and move on. They realise that graphics aren't everything.

Possibly most importantly they understand the sort of specifications their readers PC's have. They don't use the best PCs around simply becaue they can, as they know most of the readers can't.
