INTRODUCTION At Secondary school, I was actually very good with English. I got A in GCSE, if I may boast so myself. However, poetry was never my strong point. I remember when we studied poetry I found it a little boring and just would have preferred to write my own poems, which we rarely did. However, recently I have been looking at reviews and Ciao and found quite a few members who have written poems to post on Ciao. All of them were excellent too - I recommend reading the poetry from other people there as the standard is brilliant. POETRY is published monthly by the Modern Poetry Association in Chicago, Illinois. Four major distributors provide the magazine to bookstores and newsstands, so if you're in the US, you shouldn't have a problem finding a copy at a store near you. For my friends in the UK, you may want to subscribe if you have a hard time finding a copy over there, but keep in mind that some of the poems and past issues can be sampled at their website online.
