Premiere magazine has been on the shelves for quite some time. It is no where near as popular as Empire magazine who already had a good readership base when it was bought over from the States. I bought he first few versions and occasionally rea it when I find one floating around. The aticle humour is not vbery sharp and although the topics covered are those that the general movie going public would wih to read, the magazine just does not seem to deliver. There are never any freebies with it (as we are all suckers for the free videos/cds etc that magazines offer). The movie reviews are useful, interviews ocassionally interesting and readers letters ...

This magazine is American but a few years ago they started up a sister UK magazine of the same title which is when I discovered it. I have all copies of the UK mag bar the first 2 which disappeared very quickly. Then when the UK started importing more magazines I started buying both the UK and US versions to get the features early from the US and the information relating to the UK. After a while the publishers decided to drop the UK magazine and incorporate a special UK section in the US mag which was soon dropped. I guess the American punters complained about it. Bristol Evening Post
The Evening Post often lends its weight to local causes, has a carefully targeted distribution policy that sees each reader getting the news most relevant to them, whilst still covering the news at a national level, and runs regular supplements.
The paper can be a little over-dramatic, and is apt to go beyond providing the news by suggesting what the reader should think of it too. It also had the carelessness to let Jeremy Smith go wandering off to pastures new – a tragedy!
