Advantages: Tells you all you need to know about TV and radio

Disadvantages: None

I've been getting the Radio Times since the days when there only was radio.

Now the magazine lists TV programmes as well and does it with aplomb. It comes in a number of different flavours for the various regions around the country and at 79p is good value for the money which pays for around 150 pages.

There are loads of adverts for commercial stuff but even good old Aunty Beeb has to survive in the world but it balances this out with plenty of interesting articles and of course a letters page.

Naturally it lists all the five terrestrial TV channels in a daily layout which is easy to scan. After the TV listings there is a brief local radio listings followed by a more comprehensive list of programmes for the four major radio stations plus a brief look at Radio 5.

A section near the beginning lists and comments on all the weeks films on TV and also includes films on satellite and cable.

In short it is a good magazine and I wouldn't be without it.

You're right jambutty it is a strange name for a TV mag. I'd never thought of that before. Good op as usual.

Brilliant title! If DooYoo had a top ten for titles, it would surely make it there.
