Advantages: TV listings for ALL channels, including Sky., Great interviews.
Disadvantages: Can sometimes be a bit biased to BBC, but it is the best!
BBC's Radio Times is a magazine with many features. Unlike what most people seem to think, this magazine does not just contain TV and radio listings. Interviews etc are always in the bulging magazine whenever I pop into my local Asda to buy this.
I have been buying this magazine for a long, a very long time. To be honest with all my fellow dooyoo members, I actually dont think that it is the best TV listings magazine around. TV Choice is very good, and does just the same job as Radio Times does. But, I don't know what it is, I always feel obliged to buy Radio Times, it's as if, if I didn't, my shopping trolley would be empty. It is as much a part of my shopping list as carrots or potatoes!
My favourite TV channel, as I do not have Sky, is BBC1. Mainly because of the news. But that is not why I buy Radio Times, as ofcourse I know when the news is on. 6pm and 10pm are the best times, and I make sure I never miss them now that the election is on, I will be voting Tory by the way. I buy Radio Times because it keeps me in touchw ith all of the latest drama's and serial's that come onto TV, especially BBC1. For instance, if it wasn't for Radio Times, then I wouldn't have known that new drama Messiah was going to be on, I am glad I knew because it is a very good programme so far.
As I said, I do not have Sky, but for those of you who do, you should still buy Radio Times as it gives you all the channel listings, in quite a bit of detail aswell.
If you don't even have a TV, then you maybe should still but Radio Times to keep you up to date with whats on the wireless (now I sound old!).
Apart from TV listings, there is a good bit of reading in this, and any women should consider buying this instead of the repetitive Womens Own etc, etc. With interviews from stars from every channel, this is a brilliant magazine.
I wouldn't miss it for the world.
