I have heard it said many a time, and I would just like to say why is it called ‘Radio Times’ always something that’s puzzled me….

But, the magazine is quality and for I think 80p it’s terrific value. You can tell the magazine is quality, there’s a good feel to it, and it’s quite thick so you get more than what you pay for.

Often it covers new series which have started on the BBC, the previews are really good and make good reading over a coffee break.

The magazine contains complete listings of TV, radio and satellite programmes. Also, as radio listings as well, it’s a good guide to what’s on during the week. Although, most of the previews focus on BBC programmes they do cover other programmes on different channels.

They also have film previews which is really good, helps me make my mind out to which film to watch.

Advertising is ok, not to much. I do like the recipe pages which sometimes really do inspire me to do some cooking.
Ainsley Harriot is one of my fave cooks and he’s featured in ‘Radio Times’ quite a lot.

The letter pages are good and crosswords, to keep you occupied.
I enjoy reading the columns from Polly T. and John Peel, they make some good points.

I enjoy reading the sports page from Alan Hansen, (it will be sad to see Match of the Day go from the BBC), they also have a gardening section which my Mum likes reading. Some good tips for the avid gardener from Alan Titchmarsh.

I like reading ‘Radio Times’ good variety and good quality of journalism. Worth buying and well worth what the cost.

I go along with King H, no need to buy a listings mag as they come with the weekend newspapers free. Radio Times always seems somehow old fashioned to me - Kay

We used to get this when I was a child. There are now so many listings available. I am glad at least 1 has some quality

Sadly, I think these typs of magazines have been superceded by the excellent weekend pull outs from the newspaper broadsheets.
