Not the most reader friendly TV guide (Radio Times)

The radio times throughout its carrer has offered an excellent insight into Television. It has a wide range of information, it has a weekly guide for T.V - terrestrial and a minimal selection of satillite channels, a weekly guide to all the major radio stations and a review of every single terrestrial movie and a dozen of satellite reviews. It also offers interesting debates and interviews with top actors. Also the quality of the reviews is amazing and at the radio times they have some of the best critics.

To me I see the Radio Times as the TV guide equivalent of the Daily mail newspaper and the TV times as the equivalent of the Sun newspaper! My explanation is that the Radio times is accurate and contains no false gossip, incoorect facts or poor quality set out. I think that the TV times has all of these bad qualities and also the actually quality of the paper is poor, whereas the Radio times is glossy.

You may read this opinion and think 'God, he's pretty sad writing in such depth, it's only a TV guide for god's sake!' But it, un-obvious to others, is quite important as a TV guide is probably one of the most read magazines today. The quality, therefore, is imperitive and that is why I feel so strongly about it.
So think again when you go to reach for the TV Times during your weekly shop! Choose the Radio Times, it's not full of false, sleezy information and 'gossip.'
