Premium Review Rail: Keep on track with 'RAIL' magazine.  (209 words)
by - written on 05/07/01 (Useful, 187 readings)
Rating:

Rail magazine is geared at the modern day rail scene. It is a useful publication which would cater for the needs of the rail enthusiast, for any rail employee or anyone with a passing interest in the railways to keep up to date. With it being a fortnightly publication it manages to keep very much up to date with the latest news and the magazine features some very good contributors. The magazine features all the latest news as well as some well researched behind the scene articles, a hertitage section - concentrating on preserved trains, network news reviewing unusual train workings as well as a classified and letters page. If you are interested ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Firmly on the rails (225 words)

There's usually an ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Rail Magazine - not for Anoraks (219 words)
by - written on 09/08/00 (Very useful, 140 readings)
Rating:

Sad but true - every 2 weeks I get my copy of Rail magazine posted to me. It contains all the latest news as to what is going on in the Industry - fare changes, new trains, service improvements, financial stuff and the like. Yes they do have pictures of trains but it is covered as a new item of rolling stock and not something with a number on the side which can be written down in a spotters book. Two things of interest are covered in this esteemed journal. They do tests of all new rolling stock from the viewpoint of the young, elderly and say business traveller. A recent article looked at train toilets and how easy it was to change a nappy on ...  Read the complete review
