Advantages: Good giggle over coffee, puzzles are interesting and have good prizes
Disadvantages: Really stupid - price seems to have gone up
This magazine has got to be one of the worst ever published - the paper is really thin, the colours are garish, and the stories are ridiculous --BUT I LOVE IT!!!
For all of the above reasons - it provides a great deal of entertainment in our house when we buy a copy. It is laugh out lound cringe time. Don't read this magazine if you want informative stories, just buy it when you want a smile over you coffee, don't take it too seriously - I mean how can you take a headline like "Stabbed after toyboy stole my biscuits - then my wife!" seriously.
It used to be a cheap bit of escapism at 38p but recently the copies I have bought have all been 70p not sure if it only comes out fortnightly now or if these were new Year specials - or maybe like evrything else it has gone up in price . I can't say that I am queuing outside the shop to get my copy each week, but just pick one up sometimes when I fancy a lift.
The bit I do actually enjoy is the puzzle page in the middle - there are lots of crosswords, and other puzzles designed by Carol Vorderman - well its her picture anyway!!!!
So buy it if you want a giggle over coffee - some of the money saving tips just have to be seen to be believed!!Don't buy it if you expecting a serious "Women's" magazine.
Summary: A magazine to read whilst you want to switch your brain off
