If you live in the UK and want a mag thats aimed at UK Drummers, then i'm afraid you ain't got much choice!! This mag is pretty much it, and for £3.50, i reckon they know they've got the monopoly on this! Having said that, the mag is well put together, and if like me at the moment, you are looking for a new kit there are plenty of adverts (which is annoying if aren't looking for a kit!) and a decent secondhand section at the back. Theres plenty of artist interviews and gear reviews...basically what you'd expect from any self respecting Music Mag! I have had copies that have come with CD's so you can hear what you SHOULD be playing in the learning sections, as these are generally written in Drum music. Overall, even though there is a serious lack of British competition in this sector, Rhythm fares pretty well aand will remain my choice of mag over the American 'Modern Drummer'
Every musician who is any good wants a magazine that can tell them up to date news, reviews and gossip. Rhthym is the drummers magazine, the best drummers magazine and infact one of the only ones too! Rhthym provides a little bit of drum music, reviews, news, sometimes a Cd and lots of adverts. Adverts are quite common in this magazine but if you don't mind adverts and if your someone that uses the adverts i.e.reads them and find something they like and phone them up which is what there their for then you will be fine reading this magazine. This mag is full of desirible drum kits and some weird drumkits and every month they an interview with a top class drummer. If your a drummer this mag is a must have and at £3.25 it's quite reasonable
