Advantages: Has a lot of features.
Disadvantages: You feel you have to buy every edition.
My children love to watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I must confess that I sometimes sneak a peak! It is quite entertaining really. Well, have you seen the fortnightly collectable mag in the name of the so-called witch. It comes out fortnightly and comes with a 'free' gift each time which is saved up in the purple box, which came with issue 1. The items consist of nail pens, eye shadow, make-up brushes and glitter etc. Everything to keep a small girl occupied for hours. They are into this type of stuff at a very early age nowadays. The mag costs £2.50 which is not exactly cheap, but my daughter saves up her money she conns out of me and my husband each week. (In the name of Pocket money). And considering it does have the gifts with it, it is just about worth the £2.50 and what else can you buy a child to occupy them for ages for that amount. A Mcdonalds costs £2.00 and is eaten in minutes. The magazine also has hairstyle ideas to practise on their friends and dance moves. It also features salem the cat which is a firm favourite of everyone.(if you did not know he is the talking cat) There is a lot of entertainment value in the magazine and I suppose we are lining the pockets of an already wealthy person(s) but for value for money and keeping those little darlings happy, even it it does mean making them into even more of a madam than they already are, it is a good magazine and well put together.

karenuk - 08/04/01 Two of my daughters get this each issue, so it is pretty expensive, but they like it :-) |
