Advantages: great tips, free gift, informative
Disadvantages: very thin, cost
This is a must have for all girlie girls. It is based around the nickelodeon programme sabrina the teenage witch, starring melissa joan-hart, and her two aunts Zelda and Helga and her cat named salem, who was once a witch who was turned into a cat for trying to take over the world, and if you're anything like me you're just as addicted to the programme as well as the kids! It has a free vanity case with your first issue, then a free accessory, such as make-up or hair acceessory with each fornightly issue, which fits into the vanity case. There is also a further tray that fits into the case for further items. It has about 11 chapters per issue, and show's you how to use your free gift. For example, if it was a lipstick it would show you how best to apply it.In every issue it learns you a new dance routine, and there is also a section on how to do your hair, and things to avoid doing when trying to get the style right. It also has a segment from her diary in each issue too, about her boyfriend Harvey, or friends Valery and Dreamer. It gives you lots of little quizzes to do, which tells you which type of girl you are, such as a shopaholic etc. It also shows you ideas for caring for your hair, nails, skin, or different ways of styling hair. I think the only problem really is the thickness of the book, it does'nt contain many pages, and at 2.50, which works out to 5pound a month out of a young girls allowance, which is quite a lot really for a childs magazine. You do get a cardboard box though to keep them clean and safe. So for a young girl who wants to look cool this magazine is a must have, and is great value at 2.50.

csaldanha - 05/11/01 It would have been nice to have a bit more on the different sections on the magazine... Was there anything you didn't like about it? |
